Profile cylinder locks are mostly used in uPVC and composite doors.

We use 2 types of Profile Cylinders for cylinder lock replacement, which are broken down into Quality Basic and Premier ranges.  All profile cylinders can be keyed on both sides or have a keyhole on the outside and a turn-thumb bolt on the inside.  Our Quality Basic cylinders can be purchased in the usual chrome or brass colours and our Premier Cylinders can be in many colours from black to bronze in polished in satin variants (see picture at the end of this page).

Quality Basic Cylinder

This is the standard type lock found on most UPVC doors, however the cylinders we use have 6 pins rather than 5 and they are anti-drill, anti-bump and anti-pick.  We use these as we never get call-backs to them so when they are installed, they will last for a long time.  We will never install a low quality or budget lock as experience has shown us that they will fail.

Premier Cylinder

Our top specification cylinders are TS 007, 3 Star British Standard cylinder from Evva, mainly EPS and ICS systems although we can get the 4KS and MCS systems made to order.  These are top-of-the-range quality cylinders that have a whole host of security features, including restricted keys and anti-bump, anti-pick, anti-drill and anti-snap features.  The Premier Range are also anti-burn, a method currently spreading throughout the UK.  These cylinders are extremely secure and a burglar’s worst nightmare.  This premier cylinder lock can also be ordered master keyed or keyed alike to every cylinder in your house which means one key can be used for your whole property.  They can even match rim cylinders, padlocks and cabinet locks.  These security cylinders can be made up from our workshop for the 1* version so you do not have to wait for them to be ordered.  Insurance companies are slowly catching on to the high security of these cylinders and some companies are insisting on the upgrade.  We are ready and will be able to help you out straight away with your home protection.

Oval Profile Cylinder
